Zsazsa Zaturnnah
Because she's back on-stage live, I badly need to see this final run of the critically acclaimed stage production of the comic book. This 3rd staging seems to be more interesting with Kaye Brosas alternating Eula as Zsazsa Zaturnnah.
I have read lots of good reviews of Eula's performance that's why I'm so interested to see her act on stage. Of course, we can only expect good performance from a veteran TV actress. She sings well, too. However, I'm also interested to see Kaye's performance. I think it'd be effortless for her to play as Zsazsa as she sings well, she's comic, and she's innately babaeng-bakla.

Avenue Q
Described as an unlikely cross between "Rent" and TV's "The Muppet Show," will give you an idea what to expect about Avenue Q. It is primarily focused on the issue of man's purpose. Similar with "Rent", it conveys the idea of living the day in the present.
A recurring theme is the central character's search for a "purpose". Toward the end of the show, he helps another character achieve her goal and decides that searching for his purpose is less important than living...
With songs like "It sucks to be me," "What Do You Do with a B.A. in English?", no doubt that a young-adult can definitely relate with the play. Isn't that we often find ourselves feeling that we're "useless" and "lost"?
Want to know what to expect from Atlantis's production of Avenue Q? See Rachel Alejandro's audition video. She's good, really good. Fine, fine voice to exeute "There's a Fine, Fine Line."
Show will run on September 2007 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza.

Other Plays to Watch together with your kids:
High School Musical ---> if you weren't able to watch Ateneo Blue Rep's staging, you might want to try Stages and Trumpet's version of the show.
Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Coloring Book --> if you were a Sesame Street follower during your childhood, you might want to share the experience with your kids (niece/nephew). I want to experience Sesame Street Live as I've experienced Batibot Live. Hehe.

My ultimate Wish:
Re-staging of Rent, Vagina Monologues, and Urine Town.
P.S.
Ah, if only I had the opportunity to be active in theater group back in college... Oh well, I'm now trying my best to catch all interesting plays. I've made it a promise to devote a chunk of my salary to my theater hobby (to fulfill that enthusiasm). But since not all my friends are interested in watching plays (unless if the shows are popular), I should also promise myself that my plans to watch shows shouldn't be thwarted by not having a companion. Di naman siuro mukhang tanga kung manonood ng play mag-isa, parang sine lang siguro. Haha

Plugging: I'm selling tickets to both ZZZ (June 15 and 22) and Ave Q (2nd Friday).
Useful tip for the readers: Look for blockbuyers (like me) or call the production companies directly. That'll save you at least the additional 3% that Ticketworld charges.
