Happy Holidays :-)

There's an interesting discussion on how Atheists celebrate Christmas in Pinoy Exchange's Realm of Thought.

*******

As someone who has a different perspective of "God and Religion", my reasons for celebrating Christmas are similar to the reasons presented by Atheist-posters in PEx. For me, celebration of the Yuletide season isn't actually about reminiscing the majority's belief of "the birth of Christ." It's more than special than reminiscing such event (if such really happened).

Yuletide Season is about spending quality time with family and loved ones. Most of us will have enough time to go out with special people in our lives and reunite with them.

For the family, the season always brings us together. On Christmas Day, we spend it with my mother's relatives. Meanwhile, we celebrate every New Year with our father's relatives. It couldn't be denied that for most of us, the season is the best season to be with relatives we don't normally see on a usual day.

I enjoy the season because I am able to see my high school friends whom I rarely see (hmm, except for Moi-moi and Jenny). We try hard to set-up a yearly Christmas party of sorts in order to reunite and update each other. It always serves as the best time to reminisce our experiences back in high school as well as great time to share our plans in life while asking for friends' opinions.

The season is that special moment where we could extend our appreciation and gratititude to our family and loved ones for all the sacrifices and other special things they've contributed in the life we've lived for the year. Of course, we're not limited to show our love and appreciation to family and friends only this season. It's simply the most apt time to unleash those feelings at the highest level. :))

Loved ones, friends, blog-hoppers, not-so-friends, and even foes.... Enjoy the season! Maximize the opportunity to be with the people close to your hearts! Reminisce together the 525,600 minutes of love, pain, joy, and sacrifices you've spent with them!

"Let's celebrate remember a year in the life of friends!" -- Seasons of Love (Rent)

To my dear loved ones and friends, I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation for all the love and great learning and experiences you've showered upon me :)) All the best!

Below is one of my favorite songs. It's actually what I would consider as the "song of my life." The song inspires me in a lot of ways. I want all the people I love to be inspired by this song. Oh, and there's an interesting a capella version of the song.

P.S.
