Preoccupation

I've been preoccupied with various things these past few days that I couldn't concentrate on writing something sensible for the blog. [How can I actually start writing something good for the blog while here I am busy trying to make sense of an article about termites (usapang anay)?] But there are actually a lot of topics that I would want to write about. Here are some of the topics I'd probably be writing (actually some I've already started) soon.

  • I just realized that most of my college blockmates graduated from Law School already (2 are now lawyers in fact). I really have to finish my article "Why Polsci?" It's simply about why most of us took the course (because we wanted to take up law) and how some of us ended not taking up law (And why people shouldn't be wondering why we didn't pursue a law degree).

  • I attended the "1st National Campaigners-Media Interface" yesterday which featured the launching of "Selling Candidates" (a sequel to "How to win an Election) by Newsbreak and a conference on handling campaigns in the afternoon. There are a lot of issues and interesting topics that were raised during the event. Not to mention, Political Marketing was one of my favorites subjects back in college. I'll probably be writing a series of articles on this (ah, I should because I learned a lot and I just love Yolly Ong).

  • Culture Appreciation orHow to make your kids appreciate culture and arts? I visited the National Museum a week ago (a cheap—PHP 100 entrance—but definitely great learning experience). It's just quite sad that less people are interested in venturing in such kind of activity. But learning culture by trying to experience what we read on books can perfectly happen by visiting museums (cultural/historical places). FYI, John Silva still has a National Museum Tour on the 17th of May (contact John Silva at 0926 729 9029). Entrance and tour at PHP 700.

  • Food Review. Been eating in various restaurants lately. [That's what you get when you're working on freelance -- you can manage your time to explore things.] But unfortunately, I haven't posted any food review. [Mostly due to fixation that is exploring things.]

But for now, I've to concentrate writing an article about termite-attack protection (yes, a product release). Wow, construction ito!
