Goodbye Story #1
It's wonderful how people start creating special connection - build good relationship and eventually make it grow into something more, something that is special. How things started may not be that easy to define: how it turned out to be a special relationship is probably something hard to pinpoint - mysterious or even magical.
Years of togetherness were about spending good time together, sharing each other's stories, planning life and the future together. But at some point, the one has to compete with the partner's dream: not much time to spend together to prioritize fulfilling that dream. One has to understand that you can never win in a competition over a person's dream, thus, must give way.
Relationship started to sour. While both struggled to make the relationship work (because the love is still there), the situation is too challenging. Probably saying goodbye (perhaps only for now) is the most apt move.
It's weird that an end of a special connection may have the same process - mysterious. How things ended may be too hard to identify: vague ending. What makes it even harder is the issue of acceptance - letting go of something you probably still would want to own.
Goodbye Story #2
For some, cultural difference is a non-issue in love. No matter how different the way that person was raised, the belief-systems and values, even the practice of a hygienic lifestyle, one can continue to like and fall in love with that person.
Even if sometimes there are points of misunderstanding because of language barrier, they are together because of attraction and mutual admiration. But how long can they keep such relationship grow when the other has to go to another country to fulfill one's dream?
While the exciting connection is just brewing, one has to say goodbye. But who knows, maybe it's just a temporary farewell. And maybe the distance can make their relationship grow more.

Haha, parang "Love Notes" lang. May kanta after every story. :))
