Of Glorietta and Papa Christian

A partly Jologs post ;)

After the bombing/gas-leak whatever, every time I pass by Glorietta, it’s really too far from the usual – lesser noise and lesser crowd (except maybe for the lines in bridge ways). Maybe there are people still hesitant of going to the place (e.g. a friend still doesn’t want to go there for meet-ups and prefers Walter Mart instead). It’s just apt to revive the mall through activities that will entice people to drop by or even stay at the place.

I had a meeting somewhere in Dela Rosa yesterday (Monday). I initially planned to walk from Dela Rosa to Glorietta as I was in no hurry and I simply missed walking in the area (batang CAP ako nung college and I used to work somewhere in Pasong Tamo). But I noticed that it was too dark already at 6:00pm (yeah Christmas is near) and got tempted to ride a shuttle when I reached Salcedo. It was actually a good decision. If I have opted to walk, I wouldn’t be able to catch Christian Bautista’s performance in Glorietta.

Just imagine a Monday afternoon/evening of performance by a balladeer in a mall! I’m used to seeing or chancing upon a mall tour/show on weekends (usually in SM Malls). Apparently, it’s the mall’s strategy to get its market back [speculations]. I think back then Glorietta already had Christmas activities. But this series of activities is just so grand.

Anyway, Christian is out with a new album – Christian Bautista Live (Christmas Edition).

Funny Title. Well, it’s Christmas Edition since it includes his version of 5 Christmas Songs. Listening to him live, I found myself in a giddy state.
