"God's plan is to give us life; a full and abundant life. Tinutupad lang niya ang promise niya."
When you wish, to whom do you actually address that wish? Say, you wish to have a car. For most believers, that wish is some sort of a prayer addressed to their god. But come to think of it, we are both consciously or unconsciously working in order to make that wish come true. It is not necessary that it something you address to a supernatural. You may not have total control about anything but for sure you can always do something about it.
The quote above can probably be used as (1) a means to appear humble;
There are several ways to be humble about our success. To say that we are enjoying all the luxury (e.g. house, car, good career, good job) because "god" is simply being true to his promises is unfair, unfair to you and to those people who've helped you to be in that position.
and (2) an excuse for not achieving what we want.
Hindi pa kasi tinutupad ni god ang promise niya."

Occam's Razor. The "god" you're wishing / praying to is irrelevant, especially if you can justify the result either way. You can do without it and it won't affect the outcome.
Wishing is simply wanting or favoring a particular result. It's not necessarily addressed to anyone.
I've the tendency to over analyze things. Not good.
