What will you do...

… if your (3rd year college) student answered something like this in his exam?

Topic: Adjectives

Objectives of the exercise: (1) to see how well they can use adjectives in a sentence; (2) to know if they can already construct complete & grammatically correct sentences

Question: What can you say about the teachers in your school?
(Too grade schoolish? But they badly need to learn the basic.)

ANYWAY

“They are good in teaching. Teachers are also friendly and easy to approach but not all. There are also some teachers that is lazy. There are cute teachers like Ma’am Lala but there’s also ugly.”

(Note: I typed my student’s answer as it was written. Forgive the grammar please. I’ll be the one grading him. Hay! It sucks to be me!)

Haha! Okay. He missed the 'h' in Lalah BTW. Reading through his paper made me smile a bit. Just a bit. Hahaha! But after that, I’ve regained my consciousness… Pwedeng magmura?

Tangina mo!

So you think you can get a good grade for your exam because you find me cute?

Just imagine that I’ve to deal with such kind of paper. I'm happy that I'm teaching. However, it’s challenging and frustrating. Honestly, I fear that the semester will end and my students will just be the same (they haven't unlearned the wrong and they've learned nothing from me). Well, I hope not.
