Tour of the Fireflies!

Bike enthusiasts are invited to a day of clean energy at the 9th Tour of the Fireflies! This April 15, 2007, the Firefly Brigade will bike for clean energy, a clean environment, clean establishments, and a clean election! The Tour of the Fireflies will take bikers at a relaxed 13-15kph pace through 6-7 Metropolitan cities. It will be controlled in a way that non-professional riders, and even young children and senior citizens, can participate! To register, please send an email to supporterservices@ph.greenpeace.org . The first 15 supporters to register for the 9 th Tour of the Fireflies will receive a shirt and a wind sock (for the bikes) from Greenpeace. The Tour of the the Fireflies will start and endat Tiendesitas ( Ortigas Avenue corner E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Pasig City). It is a 50-kilometer ride,through 6-7 Metropolitan cities, that will take about 3.5 to 4 hours to complete. The pace will be a relaxed 13-15 kph. All participants must sign the waiver and quit claim in the registration form and wear helmets during the ride. Children below 13 years of age old must be accompanied by an adult registered participant. Registration fee is Php50.00.
