Had a chance to watch some portions of Eat Bulaga last Saturday. I was actually interested in seeing former EB contestants (It's not a secret to people I know that I joined an EB contest in the late 80's.) Because I had a lot of household chores to finish (domesticated), I missed the Dabarkads On the Spot portion (that featured former contestants) and instead caught the showdown of Sexbomb and EB Babe.
I just can't resist to react.

There's nothing wrong about dancing and dance showdown, especially if the dance showdown or the dance performance is wholesome (Streetboys vs. Maneuvers). Meanwhile, if the showdown is not that wholesome, it should be shown late night (I'm an avid viewer of "Shall We Dance").
That's why the Sexbomb vs. EB Babe Showdown is something undesirable. How can a showdown between groups of sexy dancers be wholesome?
The presence of sexy dancers [Sexbomb (then) and EB Babes (now)] in a noontime variety show alone is already improper. A noontime show should cater to family and young audience but seeing sexy dancers in almost naked outfit on noontime shows (both EB and Wowowee) is not appropriate.
A showdown of two groups of sexy dancers on a noontime show greatly deserves an objection. How many kids (young girls especially) have learned to dance the "Spaghetti Song" doing the Sexbomb moves (becoming Sexbom Copycats)? Now, how many kids are already learning to dance "Itaktak Mo" the EB Babe way?
I wouldn't be surprised to see group of young girls challenging each other for a dance showdown (similar to Sexbom vs. EB Babe Showdown). But it is something I'm afraid to see.
I guess, parents wouldn't want to hear something like this from their kids:
Mother: What would you like to be when you grow up?
Kid: I'd like to become a Sexbomb Dancer (or EB Babe) when I grow up.
Exposing our children to such scenes may lead to improper perspectives of life. We don't want our children to limit their dreams to becoming sexy dancers.

If you weren't able to watch the showdown, video is attached below. Tell me what you think. Is this kind of showdown apt for a noontime show? Super Nada!
