Realizing the Voice Within Me

Christian Monsod has realized the words I've been trying to construct to counter friends from the "left" of my current sort of "political hibernation." The problem with some the hard-core leftist (I say some), they tend to think that people who won't go out to streets to air their disgust of the current administration are apathetic. Before, I am one of those people who think that these people aren't patriotic or they careless about the country's situation.

As Christian Monsod said in One Voice's forum at Jose Rizal University, there are people who wouldn't want to join rallies but still care about the country. They see other means to contribute to the country but it doesn't mean that they don't care.

Of course, all of us can contribute to the country's development in many ways. Not because we don't join rallies, we don't care about the country. But it is still important to care about what's happening.
It is crucial to be open to learning about the critical issues confronting the country. And of course, it's more important to be critical of assuming a stance.

Political inactivity (i.e. not joining the rallies) couldn't be totally equated to apathy.
