In Love with Rent

For a Rent fan like me, to hear other people loving the musical (the movie adaptation in this case) is something that makes me happy.

I was in bliss when I read a mail from a friend back Roco Campaign days telling me that she was inspired with Rent. She even informed me that they'll be using "No Day But Today" as sort of theme song of their organization (Action for Alternative Democracy). In particular, she stated the lines,

"There's only us, There's only this.
Forget regret, or life is yours to miss.
No other day, No other road
No Day But Today."

Of course, for any person who aspires for anything (a personal dream, a group advocacy, or what not), there's simply no other day to fulfill that dream or obligation. I guess, if everyone will be inspired with the philosophy of "No Day bu Today" will be living in a progressive society.

To you and to your group, I wish you well. Continue believing that there's No day but today. Also, continue to show the film to other people and eventually have them inspired in whatever means (personal, political, emotional).

Now, I know how a real Rent Fan feels when encountering people whose lives are touched by Rent. I am now experiencing how the ultimate "renthead" who've read my email signature felt when she found out I'm also sort of fan/believer.

I will, dear. :) Rent is beautifully romantic. You can relate the songs to you personal desires, hopes and advocacies. Indeed, who wouldn't want to live for beauty, truth, freedom and love?
