Karaoke Dreams
A musical comedy informance on Filipino Migration

Produced with the support of the European Union through the Philippine Border Management Project implemented by the International Organization for Migration.

Written by Vince de Jesus

The story revolves around three Filipinos who have always dreamt of working abroad but only decided to do so after learning about the life and experiences abroad of one of their OFW neighbors who returns home after eight years.

* Julie Nahuli hopes to become a singer and because she wants to work abroad immediately, she unknowingly falls into the trap of an international network of syndicates; little does she know that she will become a victim of trafficking.

* Isko Nabisto successfully gets a job overseas using a valid passport, but after his visa expires he decides to overstay and become a TNT; that is when his problems start to appear.

*Rudy Natsugi decides to get his passport and visa from a “friend”; once he pays his friend a big amount of money, he discovers that the travel documents given to him are fake and can not be used to leave the country
