I was in Cubao last Friday for a dinner. I forgot that it was the first night of Ne-Yo's concert. On our way to Dencio's from Gateway around 8pm, a lot of people were already in line to get inside the Coliseum.
Around 9pm, we walked by the Coliseum again to go to Gateway. When we passed by the entrance, there were two good-looking and well-dressed (overly dressed?) girls at the entrance. One was shouting over the other girl to hurry-up. The other was rushing. Obviously, the other girl was late for the show. (Ipagkaingay daw ba sa buong Araneta na ang gaganda nilang late. Wala lang.)
So we just went to the CR then I bought something from Watson's, waited for my friend's boyfriend for about 10 minutes, then we passed by the Coliseum again to get to Gloria Jeans, that was around 930pm.
At around 10pm, I was so surprised to see a number of people coming out from the Coliseum. "What? Ganun lang tapos na iyong Ne-Yo. Kumain lang tayo tapos lakad. Tapos iyon na iyon?" Wow! How much did these people spend for the show (for approximately less than 1.5-hr show)? Nakakapanghinayang."
Mabuhay ang mga kuripot. But you know, it seems that it's not worth the money (I'm not sure if such applies to fans). It's just being practical. If all the shows at Araneta will just be like that, I would have second-thoughts of watching.
