Being a woman we often enjoy the sweet respect of the opposite sex: you're treated nicely and sometimes offered a seat in a crammed PUV. But being a woman we also experience rude actions from the opposite sex. If you've got big boobs and gifted with butt, sometimes you need not wonder where the guys' eyes are set. Well, it's probably a guy's instinct but it's different when they're maliciously looking at your "assets."
Being a woman, I'm not afraid to express my feelings. It's good to be a woman because you wouldn't be labeled weak if you cry out loud. We experience more freedom due to lesser repressed emotions.
But being a woman entails monthly pain that guys will never experience. We undergo both physical and emotional unexplainable shit every month. You just don't know where to put your body. You couldn't understand why you easily get irritated. You just find that period "too heavy" to actually be doing all the stuff you normally do. However, because of that pain, being a woman allows us to carry a child in our womb.
Being a woman may mean some challenges and vulnerabilities. But being a woman is also a sweet endeavor especially when you have learned how you can really empower yourself. I think I'm beginning to enjoy and love being a woman.
Happy Women's Month!
