This must be…

...love (kidding of course).

There's always something (or someone) that will cheer you up after a long super boring day at work. Sorry but I just couldn't help posting something shallow.

****

I decided to stay at Mister Donut Megamall while waiting for a friend. It was again a good decision as Christian Bautista was set to perform. Of course, I opted to seat where I could still manage to have a peek of Christian. Just a month ago, I chanced upon his performance at Glorietta. And it was a giddy experience. Haha! And why wouldn't I feel giddy now? Woohoo!

When my friend arrived, I hurriedly finished my coffee and dragged him to the show. While my friend was commenting about Christian's good voice, I kept on saying, "at guwapo pa." (Of course, it's quite awkward for him to agree, he's a guy). I just couldn't help myself from smiling while listening and watching him perform. And bad, I almost forgot why I was with my friend: we were supposed to visit our friend's mom in the hospital.

At ganyan ako kanina (well may hang-over pa).

Okay so to make this post less shallow:

What makes Christian Bautista a good singer?

1) He gets every note perfectly fine. And he's voice is soothing to listen to.

2) He's not a copy-cat of any other singer. When he sings, you know it's him. Branded na.

3) He sings from the heart (well maybe except when he missed some lines from the National Anthem).

Whenever he sings the lines, "'Cause there's something in the way you look at me. It's as if my heart knows you're the missing piece", the message is automatically transmitted to your heart. You'll just find yourself smiling. You can't help but to feel you're falling in love. (OA, but that's a measure of an effective performance). Trained naman kasi talaga siya sa teatro (magaling na ang boses at may damdamin).

What's bad about a mall show?

There are unavoidable acts that cheapen this kind of show (a mall show). That's when the singer starts to say, "Oh, palakpak naman diyan." Or when audience would yell, "Ang guwapo mo!", then the singer reacts, "Paki-ulit nga ng malakas" (sabay lapit sa babaeng nagtutumili at tapat ng microphone sa bibig).

But maybe that's really entertainment for some.

Okay enough. But I still feel giddy. Hahaha!
