Being Alone

Not a lot of people enjoy spending time alone. In fact, there are those who fear being alone. This is probably the reason why there are people who are easily surprised as how other people (me included) manage to enjoy a lot of things on their own.

A friend and I were talking about the advantages of 'introversion.' First, you're the boss. You can go wherever you want and do whatever you like. Consequently, you need not mind about the feelings of another person (second reason). Selfish reasons as they may appear but these are precisely the things you have to enjoy about being alone -- freedom and serenity.

Marami kasi na nasanay na kapag may nagkwento halimbawa, "nanood ako ng movie last week or nagmall ako, blahblah"; kadalasan ang kadugtong na ay sino'ng kasama mo?"

Being alone is an opportunity to get to know your self more. You're able to see things that you have passed by. You're able to assess what you really want or what else you want.

There will come a point in your life that you'd have less time to be alone. Better yet, if you've the time to be with your self, maximize it.

Some people just can't be alone. I don't know why. I understand the need for companionship, but to insist on having someone (anyone) with you all the time smacks of being too needy.

Could it be they just can't stand themselves? :)

Hindi imposible :) Baka mag a la Maya (Heroes) raw sila kapag walang kasama.

Seriously, feeling ko, maybe it has something to do with being too conscious of what other people think when they see you eating or walking alone. Yun nga lang, eh ano ngayon? Or pwede ring marami iyong mga tao na hindi makapagdecide mag-isa siguro.

Oh well, let's just think we're special that we enjoy being alone. Haha
