If you can sing (at least have a bit good sounding voice), it's normal for friends, acquaintances, or friends of your parents to request you to sing on weddings (pro bono). Nothing's wrong with that. It means people appreciate your talent. And who knows, other people might be interested in hiring you to an event (this time, you'll be paid).
The thing that irritates me though is the kind of songs that they request. Yes, it's understandable that it is a wedding heck loads of love songs. But the songs are overused. The songs couples would request are "traditional wedding songs." If you want to make your wedding memorable, can you not think of any other songs aside from: 'Til I met you, Destiny, I finally found someone, Ikaw, Ngayon at Kailanman?
Nakakasawa. Isip naman kayo ng iba - a song that can set your wedding a bit different and more memorable.
