Lighter Stories

Having recent entries that contain frustrations (and even irritations), it's obvious that I've been quite easily irritated (agitated?) these past few days.It has probably something to do with my poor health condition and other anxieties. And there are simply a lot of things to be angry about (nakaka-agit, "This world is really all mixed up"). Like for example, who wouldn't feel bad about the recent pronouncement of the Secretary of Injsutice. Err, he's not buying votes daw. Sinong niloko mo?

Well, it's time to write something light, funny (even nonsense), and positive & amazing.

Another Pathetic Text

"me i'll (tamang me i'll?) be your textmate. male. reply to my roaming blah blah."

Yeah, panalo. Probably this guy from Saudi (since the country code is +96) is terribly lonely. Akalain mo, maghanap ng textmate sa Pilipinas at magspend ng pera para dun. Nakakatawang nakakakaawa.

Best Laugh Trip
...so far for this year. I haven't laughed the way I did that night for quite some time

A guy during our party's meeting approached us and introduced himself. He told me we've met years ago in another event. I remember the event but I don't have any memory of him. The funny thing, bigla ka ba namang banatan, "Dalagang-dalaga ka na." Wooohooo! Super laugh trip! He definitely made my night. Banat pa, "Lumaki ka na talaga (or ang laki-laki mo na)". What made me laugh even more? It's quite ironic that those words came from someone who's younger than me (ironic din dahil less dominant ang feminine side ko para sabihan nang ganun).

Yeah, I know I gained weight. So technically, lumaki nga ako. But the amazement in his face was just super. It is possible that years ago, I really looked too young for my age (I looked high school daw even if degree holder na ako). And now, it is also possible that I look too old for my age (stress). Or maybe it's about my very long hair, hmm or talaga lang may lumaki sa akin? Yeah, boys will be boys. Haha! Pero laugh trip talaga itong taong ito.

Ms. Fudolig

Wohoo! This kid is definitely amazing! Imagine finishing college at 16 as summa cum laude in the country's finest university. Alien ang talino niya. Such story should inspire every Filipino in becoming the best we can be. Grabe, I've read her speech and it's definitely inspiring (written by an intelligent kid). Sino kayang hindi hahanga sa batang ito, Physics pa ang natapos niyang kurso!

"The Bitch of Living"

If you happen to be a fan of Duncan Sheik, you might want to check out the Broadway Musical Spring Awakening. He wrote the music for the play. Tagged as "Best Musical of the Year" (I think for 2006), the story is very apt in trying to understand teenagers - "It's a musical that answers the questions teenagers have been asking forever" (currently downloading an off Broadway recording from Torrent).
