Discoveries

New LRT Trains

Had a chance to ride the LRT (Monumento-Baclaran line) this morning. I thought I was in another LRT line (the purple line). After several years, finally, there are new set of trains (similar to the LRT purple line trains). It's a good sign of improvement. Yet, there's something that hasn't changed in the LRT, the passengers.

I hate it but many passengers are still not disciplined. I wonder why they find it so to fall in line and wait for their turn. It's understandable that many of the passengers are in a hurry. But it just annoying that the person at your back keeps on pushing towards the ticket counter.

Then again, this improvement in the LRT system sends us positive signals. We can probably look forward to more improvements (including the passengers).

Budget Airlines and Discounted Airfares

This is a rediscovery of sorts. I've proven that "Cebu pacific budget fares" are for real (through reservation) but haven't actually experienced the discounted fare travel (since I haven't used my tickets yet as the travel dates have already expired). I've also proven that international budget airlines are for real (through reservation) and will experience the budget travel soon. Whoever crafted the idea of budget airlines deserves gratitude.

To reach different places gives each of us an opportunity to learn a lot (from history to culture to geography to people and more). In fact, it's not just learning but learning through experience.
For someone who wants to learn about other countries and people, budget airlines are indeed helpful. Not everyone has the luxury of money to spend for a trip abroad (and even for domestic travel). These budget airlines cater to people who are yearning to travel and learn but couldn't afford to spend much.

I guess to travel is a good investment. Maybe it's a something we should strive to save up for – at least a domestic travel and an international travel a year.
