This article is written in connection with my article last year around March or May about my LTO Experience.
I should have written this last February but I didn’t have much time and enthusiasm.
Well, still something to share.
Having gone through the bad trip process of applying for license, claiming my license was another challenging experience for me. I decided not to claim the license during the date specified in the temporary license. I opted to delay the claim in order to avoid possible other hurdles (like saying that the license isn't available yet). It thought, “Delaying tactic equals less hassle.”
Unfortunately, even the delaying tactic didn't work. The license was there but I wasn't able to claim it simply because it the license wasn't meant for me.
I showed the temporary license to the lady. She searched for my license and stared at me. She said, "Ikaw ba ito? Pero pangalan mo ito. Tska address at mga details mo nandito." I reached for the license and got shocked -- the license contained a picture of another person with all of the details about me (except that the name lacked "Carla" Edelza Montes Varias lang iyong nandun).
The incident during the license application process came to my mind. I guess, what happened to my license is not an accident at all. The wrong picture posted on my license was intentionally done. Maybe, I really hit that old man big time. The only way for him to get back at me is by making it hard for me to get my license. Actually, more than irritation, I really just laughed about the idea. But what's irritating? People in power can easily adjust things depending on how they want it.
If this small-time power playing thing happens at that rank, power playing is worse at the higher level. Just look at how the President plays with his power.
